A hair-related time-saving tip you have never heard before!

Just thought I'd share something I've been doing lately that makes me feel slightly more efficient in life's constant cycle of beauty chores that need to be done!

I always deep condition my hair because it's so dry and also because I only wash it once a week, so it's not much a commitment. You're supposed to leave these on for a few minutes, and I normally do as I want to feel like I'm really giving it a chance to work its magic.

Now what are you going to so with these three minutes of time? Sometimes I shave my legs. I tried using in-shower self tanner, but it's not great in winter turning the water off and standing around whilst wet.

Then I had the brainwave that this could be makeup brush washing time! I have a few spare minutes to wash the brushes (I just use my shampoo) and rinse out the suds under the shower, before my conditioner is ready to rinse out. Then I just put the brushes up on my shower ledge so they can air dry till the next day.

It feels great to have clean brushes on a semi-regular schedule as I know they are breeding grounds for bacteria but before this technique, I never got around to doing them that often.

PS Apologies to those who might find this a massive waste of water for 3 extra minutes with the tap on, but as I only wash my hair once a week, my other showers are always pretty quick so I don't feel too guilty.
